THEME & AWARDS
8:00–9:15 am → Bayless Elementary ↔ Affton High School
Street reopening (~12:00 noon) → Affton High School ↔ Bayless Elementary
WHEEL WALKERS
- The 2025 Parade Theme is "Capes, Courage & Community."
- Awards will be given in the following categories:
Theme of Parade - Judges’ Choice - Most Original Entry - Best Church Entry - Best School Entry - Most Spirited (NEW!) - Winners will be announced and trophies presented at the Afterparty at 9 Mile Garden. They will also be listed on www.afftonlemaychamber.com and the Affton-Lemay Community Parade Facebook page by the following Monday.
- Judging Eligibility: Entries must be received by September 5, 2025, to be included in the judging line-up.
- Late Entries: Entries received after the deadline may or may not be allowed to participate. If space permits, they will be placed at the end of the parade.
- Only vehicles registered as parade entries will be allowed into the staging area.
- No parking is available at Affton High School. Please park behind Bayless Elementary School and ride the shuttle bus.
- Check-in Process:
-Enter the north parking lot of Affton High School by making a right turn off Mackenzie (approach from Heege). Do not make a u-turn to enter from the opposite direction.
-Present the line-up number included with your line-up packet email. ONLY parade vehicles with a line-up number will be allowed in the staging area parking lots.
Parade marshals will direct you to the proper staging lot. - Arrival Times:
-All parade entry vehicles must arrive by 9:00 am (especially large vehicles or floats).
-Individual marchers may arrive as late as 9:30 am but must allow time for the shuttle bus.
- Your assigned line-up area will only fit the unit size provided in your registration.
- If you want to be placed next to another group, coordinate and register together.
- Once the line-up is finalized, no changes can be made. Requests after the deadline will not be accommodated.
- No drop-off vehicles are allowed in the staging area.
- Vehicles dropping off parade participants will not be allowed in the staging area. There will be a drop-off point (look for signs) on Mackenzie in front of Affton High School.
- Upon arrival, participants should inform marshals of their organization name (as listed on the registration).

WHEEL WALKERS
- To maintain parade flow and ensure safety, all parade units must provide designated Wheel Walkers.
- Walkers must stay on both sides of moving vehicles, ensuring a clear path.
- Maintain a consistent pace (about 20 feet behind the unit in front).
- No throwing items from floats or vehicles – candy and giveaways must be handed out by walkers.
- No alcohol is permitted.
- Only licensed drivers may operate parade vehicles.
- If your unit does not need to drop off participants or dismantle, continue on Weber.
- If you need to drop off or break down your float, follow directions to park behind Bayless Elementary.
